Bliss Davis is a screenwriter, director, producer, and Emmy Award-nominated journalist from Cleveland, Ohio. With nearly 20 years in television and credits spanning PBS, NBC, ABC, and beyond, she has always been driven by a singular dream: to make movies.

Science fiction has always been her first love, with fantasy a close second. Growing up fascinated by Star Trek, Total Recall, Alien, Star Wars, The Terminator, and many more classics, it wasn't until watching Spike Lee's Crooklyn that she realized filmmaking wasn't just something she could do, it was something she should do.

Her journalism career was just one of her paths into storytelling. Even though it wasn't quite making movies, it was a journey she loved, honing her craft through documentary and television content. Now, she is bringing those years of experience to the work she has always dreamed of: telling stories on the big screen.

ALONE marks her debut as a writer-director in the science fiction genre she has loved since childhood.
